Welcome to part 2 of the series ‘How to face your fears to exercise in public’
In the previous part we talked about the categories of overweight people, the one I’m emphasizing now is the first category, we talked about how social anxiety stem from low self-esteem and how overcoming that can make you do great achievement in life.
Listen carefully, if you want to be socially free then you can’t do it in a single day, give yourself time and as I had run a lot through this problem, I can help you make changes.
So what to do to become less anxious to exercise in public?
You may have a small gym in your house, a treadmill, a squatting cage, a pull-up equipment. Heck, you can do everything you need at home, no need to go out alone and observe people, isolate yourself at home, exercise, eat good food and sleep well and you are set.
But many people, don’t have money to afford that, so like I was, I had to go to the beach and public park to run every day where everyone is staring, gossip and laughing at me, after all I was the nice fat kid in his teens, bro.. without the fear of not changing myself there wouldn’t be Fat Loss Master blog, the only problem I wasn’t able to start it at that period of time. Now, all what you have to do is follow this easy problem to reduce your anxiety in public, while I was very scared, I wish that I applied it when I was younger, I invented it to make it easier for you so let’s explain more.
You will have to do baby steps to overcome your anxiety in public, while taking drugs, reducing your oxygen will help you to reduce your fear, we want to make our students master themselves without access to drugs, we will talk more about drugs but not today, I just wanted to make it simple easy for everyone.
Anyone who tells you that he is able to do public speaking without fear, is someone who practised it 100 times In public to desensitize his brain, everytime you encounter something that you are not familiar with your brain has to react with a fight of flight response, no matter how extroverted and social free you are, it’s instinct, that’s how human organisms work, you will not jump from 0 to 10 if you don’t do what I will tell you right now, listen if you want one day to be stronger than people who laugh at you in public then you have to pass by this baby steps, yes you hear it that right, baby steps are the most important thing if you want to overcome your fear, and by following it, your brain will acquire adaption to any new stimulus, slowly but surely you will feel more confidant about yourself, have you ever heard that confidance comes from pain? That’s true.
So I want you to do baby steps, It doesn’t matter how much it takes, but I want you to apply and come back to me and write in on a comment how it goes, you are in the first category that I talked about so remember that you are willing to put efforts as much as I did, because insecurity Is motivating you to change, so I hope in a month you will be able to make at least 40-50 % changes.
I call it the Running in public program, it’s divided in weeks and every week has its own objectives, as I said this is not a program for people who can afford a small gym in their house, but for those who have to go outside to exercise.
False believes to remember about going out alone
You will have to write this down on a paper or your notepad so you can understand why these false believes hold you down:
Just save them and also remember that you can’t be confident if you don’t go out alone and try the small steps that I’m going to tell you about, you can’t stop caring about what others think until you do what you want. Gold but rare, please save it.
Now we are going to talk about every week’s program:
Program to reduce your social anxiety so you can exercise in public
Week 1: Walk, walk and walk alone in front of everyone
Yes, as easy as it sounds, you are going to start leaving the house in your free time, instead of doing internet procrastination, you will walk with all type of speeds, and see how you react to people’s reactions, I want you to walk in the beach, park, any place where people exercise together in public.
Stay near them, approach them slowly, see what they do, now go and walk to another group, do the same thing, what did you notice?
You should notice that they were busy doing their own stuff, they were not busy mocking you or laughing at you, it’s in your head, idea is to make you understand that you being in your head is harming your progress big time.
You should get used to stay near them and watching their reaction to understand that they are not threat, they are humans, have their own needs and want to be happy as much as you do, just because some weird guys mocked and laughed at you doesn’t mean everyone will do that, please understand that, the group of people who do that are also insecure, have their own problems and enjoy mocking others to feel better about themselves, especially if they feel intimidated by you.
Week 1 should also be about walking out alone, without putting headphones and without having your best friend with you, you will only be able to measure your anxiety when alone, because with your friend you feel approved and his support is with you so you will not be able to fight your demons when you are alone, so please try to do it and report to me what you feel, if you don’t feel anything then you can add another week to test again, remember each person has his own time to adapt to the program, some people will adapt very fast and others slowly, the most important thing is to be honest with yourself, remember you can’t be a Fat Loss Master if you are not willing to put efforts to make changes on your physique
You should be glad, to my knowledge this is the only website where someone decode the anxiety puzzle and try to make easy structured program to reduce social anxiety so you become free, I hope I’m doing it with my best, I’m thinking of you whenever I write, I don’t want to be Fat Loss Master alone, I want also to have students that will pass my idea to their generations
Week 1 should be the easiest as with every week there will be harder steps and more reps, for example you can just repeat week 1 with more time and more reps and call it week 2 or if you couldn’t go out alone in Week 1 then you will do it in the next one.
I wish I had this program when I started 10 years ago, having known that I would be easily mastering myself in my early and middle twenties, as there are fundamentals aspects you know when you try to understand this program, I was without help and without support, no one adviced me or showed me the right road, I was lost in the desert trying to find water, dare I say that I went from extreme to extreme by jumping directly to the hardest steps, I had physical fights with a minority that were mocking me, I didn’t know how to stop them without saying a single word, I hadn’t the alpha male attitude, I didn’t know how to control my body language, I was doing things randomly, just in sake of becoming ripped, with trial and errors I learned a lot and I hope you will learn from my mistakes and reduce the time countdown to have the body of your dreams, building a school of Fat Loss Masters requires responsibility, trust and faith so please assume that you are not alone, I’m here until you master yourself.
It’s better to do the program, understand the whole core of it rather than doing it randomly, so when you have some thoughts about every week’s program, try to understand that’s made strategically to make you overcome your anxiety.
