My name is Aymen and I Was the Fat, Depressed Guy — Until I Decided to Fight Back

Losing weight can be a hard thing to do, some people will take the courage to do it and some will not. If you are overweight (8 kg or more) I promise you that once you lose the fat away you will dramatically improve your mental performance, wellbeing, self-esteem, self-confidence, looks and many other things. So how did I know all of this? Simply because I was the fat guy in my childhood and my teenage years, I think I lived a very comfortable life during these teenage years, I can mention that my mother was very happy to feed me a lot of foods and I got used to that so whenever she was not around I took a lot of fatty snacks like bread with Nutella chocolate and butter and chips fried in nasty vegetable oils, my mum was very good at nursing her child, I guess that’s what all mothers want and do but I never cared about my appearance and my health, I was not a doctor neither a professional trainer or a certified nutrition specialist, I was just a little kid in his teens who knew nothing about health, I don’t blame my parents either because in my country lack of health knowledge is very common and my parents didn’t advise me to wake up and start taking actions to save myself from getting diseases, so dear reader if you are in young age I hope you take actions for your life before you regret, because things will get harder for you when you reach the age 30, maybe if you don’t take actions right now you will never do it In older age so start now and follow what I will say. Like I said this is for people who have a high body fat percentage (8 kg ore more) and who are serious about losing the fat away, if you are serious enough you will do it in a couple of months starting from now and if you aren’t serious you will stay at home playing video games or watching TV, after all that’s how I was, the comfortable guy in his teens. It’s your choice now!

It wasn’t until I reached 120 kg and getting people laughing at me and mocking me all the time, even the people who live in my same area were not nice to me, I also had major depression to the point that I had stomach anxiety and I couldn’t eat solid foods, I had sleep apnea too, I walk for minutes and I start to become very tired fast, I really became very self-conscious and I got a lot of anxiety, luckily my best friend was encouraging me to run, I live near the beach but I was so lazy to start running there, so after a while I decided to run, I went out and I was so scared that I would do it in public in front of everyone, hell I didn’t even have friends to run with me, after all I was the lonely and depressed guy but I decided to get over my comfort zone, you and I know how Mr Mainstream tells you to be confidant, and my favorite one “don’t care what other people things”, of course this is what you have to do but you can’t do it directly, you can’t jump from 0 to 100 in one day so I recommend that you do baby steps to lower the anxiety when exercising in public place, by time you will become desensitized to it and no more have fears to exercise in public, for example you keep walking in the beach every day for 30 minutes for a few weeks, get used to walk for a short distance in front of everyone and then start incrementing by adding running for 5 minutes for a week then increment slowly so you will not be scared anymore to exercise in public, I encourage you to do the baby steps every day to diminish your fears fast, of course this is for very lazy people who are sedentary and stay indoors most hours of the day so if you are already not fearful or anxious to run in public then that’s not a problem and you are good to go. So back to what I said, when the first time I started running I felt that everyone was staring at me and laughing at me because I got used to that, I was not doing good, my ego was very fragile, only my best friend was giving me hope, I remember how funny I was when I was sitting in my room dreaming to achieve my goal one day but hey a dream without a plan is just a wish so like any goals in real life losing weight may be one of yours and will dramatically improve your mental wellbeing once you do it but you have to fight to achieve your goals, you can think of it as a kickboxing training, when you get punched and fall in the ground you get up and punch back and you don’t quit until you win. Listen, I don’t really want to use guilt to motivate you, it worked for me and maybe for you, the most important thing is knowing that if you don’t like your body image when you look at yourself in front of the mirror it’s time to start taking actions, forget what everyone said about you and start focusing on yourself, fixing the present so can you live the future better, you will not face the same difficulties that I faced before because every advice you want to hear about losing weight is in this website, so all you have to do is read and apply and sleep and repeat, you can visit this blog again to read my story when you start to feel like you are losing or just to get more motivated, you better too focus on one goal at a time because that’s what I did and I realized that when we focus at achieving one goal at a time the results come Fast.
